The Little Style That Does!
The American Pale Ale is one of the many beer styles that America has adapted from English styles. It’s easy to think of it as the IPA’s little sibling, but, in truth, it’s really the older sibling — the India Pale Ale having started as a variation on the Pale Ale.
Here, in the “Bigger is Better” States, the APA is frequently overshadowed by its flashier upstart, however, the style refuses to be ignored. Its staying power lies in the fact that there’s a place with beer lovers for an ale that explores hop vibrancy without blasting you with bitterness. On top of this fact, some craft brewers are letting developments in IPAs spill over, as we’re starting to see unfiltered and even juicy APAs.
Please join us this Thursday, when we taste a combination of classic and new American Pale Ales. This is another of our free walk-up tastings that you can attend any time in the hour and a half.
See you Thursday!
