Another Winemaker Visit!

October is VA Wine Month, so what better way to celebrate than with a Virginia Winemaker tasting?

Jake Busching grew up on a farm in Minnesota, so when he moved to Virginia, he was primed to step into vineyard management. From Jefferson Vineyards to Keswick Vineyards to Pollak Vineyards to Grace Estate Vineyards to Hark Vineyards, Busching spent 26 years planting grapes, growing grapes, and helping people start their wineries.

Along the way, he learned winemaking from Michael Shaps and viticulture from Chris Hill. Finally, Shaps hired Busching to be the head winemaker for one of his lines.

In 2015, Busching launched his own brand — Jake Busching Wines. This Wednesday, he will be here in the shop, himself, to taste us on some of his wines! Please join us for this special Wine Wednesday. Feel free to stop in any time during the hour and a half of our free, walk-up tasting.
